Videos

Local stakeholder comment on the status of adaptation to climate change. These recordings were created as part of the “Regional availability of climate knowledge in the Baltic Sea region” workshop series held from 24 to 28 October 2011 in Szczecin, Gdansk, Klaipeda, and Riga. The statements are excerpts taken from workshop recordings and interviews. The goal of the workshop series was to present and exchange information about climate change and adaptation at the local level. The perceptions of local decision makers from Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia were surveyed along with their wishes for a European adaptation strategy.

The workshops were organized by Ecologic Institute, Berlin with the support of the Helmholtz Center Geesthacht. The effort was a cooperation of the  RADOST (Regional Adaptation Strategies for the German Baltic Sea Coast) project with BALTADAPT and Circum Mare Balticum (Regional availability of climate knowledge in the Baltic Sea region).
